Market Delivery Schedule

All routes operate via the Cape of Good Hope, fully bypassing the Red Sea corridor. Estimates based on standard reefer schedules from Port of Santos.

Market Loading Port Discharge Port Transit Days Route Status Payment Term
Saudi Arabia KSA — Arabian Gulf Santos, BR Dammam — KAAP Alt: Jeddah Islamic Port* 38–45 days Via Cape + Hormuz Safe Route L/C at sight / TT
Japan JP — East Asia Santos, BR Yokohama / Kobe 35–40 days Via Cape of Good Hope Safe Route L/C at sight / TT
Singapore SG — Safe-Haven Hub Santos, BR PSA Singapore 30–35 days Via Cape of Good Hope Safe Route L/C at sight / TT
Northern Europe EU — Gateway Ports Santos, BR Rotterdam / Hamburg 25–30 days Via Cape of Good Hope Safe Route L/C at sight / TT

Red Sea Corridor — Iran-Backed Conflict: Since late 2023, Iran-backed Houthi forces in Yemen have carried out sustained missile and drone attacks on commercial vessels transiting the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, sending war-risk insurance premiums to unprecedented levels and forcing major carriers to abandon the Suez route. This has effectively rendered the Red Sea / Suez corridor non-viable for standard frozen cargo traffic and long-term contracting.

KSA Routing Note: All Saudi Arabia shipments are routed via Cape of Good Hope → Indian Ocean → Strait of Hormuz → Arabian Gulf → Dammam / King Abdul Aziz Port. This routing fully bypasses the Red Sea. Jeddah Islamic Port remains an option only on explicit buyer request and is subject to additional war-risk surcharges and insurer approval.
